A heavier premium-weight shirt with a looser, more oversized streetwear-inspired fit.

Certain designs are intentionally matched with a specific garment style. For example, hip hop inspired graphics often work better on the heavier relaxed fit, while other designs feel more natural on a cleaner lightweight silhouette.

The garment, fabric weight and fit are considered part of the overall design — not just the artwork itself.

Original Graphic T-Shirts with Cultural References

Kootje Boef graphic tees draw inspiration from music history, film culture, vintage design and underground visual aesthetics. From jazz and hip hop to retro cinema, punk, street culture and independent art, each design is created as an original graphic interpretation rather than trend-driven fashion. These are graphic tees for people who appreciate creativity, cultural references and clothing with character.

Designed in the Netherlands and printed on premium organic cotton garments, every t-shirt combines visual storytelling with everyday wearability. Rather than creating official merchandise, Kootje Boef focuses on original artwork inspired by atmosphere, culture and iconic references — resulting in independent graphic clothing made for those who prefer personality over ordinary basics.

We use premium Stanley/Stella garments made from organic cotton, selected for their comfort, quality and long-lasting wear. Depending on the design, t-shirts are offered in either a lighter medium fit or a heavier relaxed fit with a more oversized silhouette.

All artwork is printed using modern DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing technology, allowing detailed graphics with a softer and more natural feel than traditional heavy prints. We use water-based NeoPigment™ inks that are biodegradable and free from harmful substances such as heavy metals and formaldehyde.

The result is graphic clothing designed to feel comfortable, age well and maintain its character over time.

Every Kootje Boef t-shirt is made to order rather than mass produced. Production only starts after your order is placed, helping reduce unnecessary overproduction and excess stock while allowing greater attention to detail.

Production usually takes 5–7 business days before shipping. Once dispatched, tracking information is automatically provided so you can follow your order to its destination.

Kootje Boef is an independent one-man brand created by Dutch designer Marco Pronk. Every design starts from an original concept and is developed with a strong focus on atmosphere, composition and visual identity.

Drawing inspiration from music, film, underground culture, vintage graphics and visual storytelling, the goal is not to follow short-lived trends but to create graphic clothing with personality and cultural character.

While the designs may reference iconic artists, genres and cultural moments, they are original interpretations — not official merchandise.
